PPWR & SolidTechnics Service
The new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR – Regulation (EU) 2025/40) will apply from 12 August 2026.
From that date, every packaging placed on the EU market must meet stricter requirements for recyclability, recycled content, labelling and technical documentation.
For importers and sourcing teams this is not just a legal detail – it directly affects whether shipments can be placed on the EU market without delays or additional questions.
SolidTechnics has prepared early for this change.
We have developed SOLID-PACK, an AI‑supported PPWR Web Assistant that guides users step by step through all required information for packaging compliance: product data, primary/secondary/tertiary packaging, materials, weights, dimensions, labels, and conformity checks. At the end, SOLID-PACK automatically generates a complete set of packaging documents that can be submitted to authorities and systems.
At the same time, PPWR packaging compliance is now fully integrated as standard in our ALL‑IN Sourcing package.
That means every ALL‑IN project includes:
Structured collection of packaging data for each SKU/case.
Creation of a full PPWR packaging file (BOM, data sheet, compliance matrix, declaration of conformity, label plan).
Delivery of a ready‑to‑download documentation package for the importer.
Customers can use SOLID-PACK as a service, with SolidTechnics running the workflow and delivering the document package, or as a web app (SOLID‑APPS) on a rental basis for internal use. Either way, PPWR moves from a risk into a controlled, documented process built directly into sourcing and quality routines.
If your packaging processes are not yet PPWR‑ready, now is the time to act – before 12 August 2026 turns from a date on paper into a bottleneck at the EU border.
